WBLAA created a scholarship fund with the University of Wisconsin Foundation to provide financial support to students attending the University of Wisconsin Law School. The Foundation, through its Board of Directors and Investment Committee, manages the fund.

 

The fund awards two annual scholarships:

 

• The Dean James Thomas Scholarship, and

• The Bella Sobah Memorial Scholarship

 

To qualify for one of these scholarships, a student must be a 1L law student at the University of Wisconsin; be a member of the Black Law Students Association; and have demonstrated a commitment towards supporting or advocating for an historically marginalized community.
